Each year, the India land development conference (ILDC) highlights the critical role of land security in fostering inclusive and sustainable development, while also building resilience to climate change. The conference seeks innovative and thought-provoking contributions from individuals, institutions, and partnerships. As part of this effort the conference will be hosting a one of a kind exhibition and performance space where creativity meets activism. Our space invites artists, performers, and advocates to explore and present their work centered on land rights, governance, and conservation. Claiming Space will also host special exhibitions that showcase the initiatives of NGOs through artistic expressions, highlighting their work in conservation, advocacy, and community empowerment. Through various artistic mediums— including interactive media, paintings, songs, poetry, plays, films, and documentaries—we aim to spark dialogue and inspire action.

At ILDC, we believe in the power of art to tell stories, convey emotions, and challenge perceptions. Our mission is to:

Amplify Voices: Provide a platform for marginalized communities and artists to share their experiences and perspectives on land issues.

Foster Awareness: Educate the public on the complexities of land governance and conservation through engaging and thought-provoking art.

Encourage Collaboration: Unite artists, NGOs, and organizations to share innovative initiatives and solutions for land-related challenges.
